CLIC MINISTRY - Christians Living In Community | CLIC is a home-based small group ministry that is led by various people from our church. These small groups consist of 10 to 12 people who meet together once or twice a month. The purpose of these groups is to build a stronger level of community within our church family. Once you have joined a group you will continue to meet with that same group indefinitely except when a group needs to multiply due to growth. The idea behind CLIC is to help you as an individual to build lasting relationships. If you have specific questions about CLIC groups, or you feel that you would like to lead a CLIC group in your home, please contact: Aaron Young at the church office at 682-3842 or aaron@kelview.com. | . . . MORE ABOUT CLIC | In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus is asked this question, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment?” Jesus answered with this statement, “You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul, and with all of your mind.” Then He said seven words that changed the way we are to think about others. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
God never intended for us to do life alone. He created us to function in a community of like-minded believers. As you meet together, you will spend time in scripture, watch a video featuring a prominent speaker, pray together, share in a workbook led discussion, and you will have a time of fellowship together.
Each group will be formed out of the same basic age structure as our Sunday morning Bible classes. The primary difference will be the structure of the material and the smaller size of the group. This small group structure will provide a more comfortable setting for openness in sharing and discussion.
Child-care will be provided by the church on the first and third Thursday of each month from 6:00-9:00 pm. Some groups may arrange their own child-care and others may find it not necessary. Check with your CLIC leader for details. | Back to Kelview's Main Ministry Page |
